Join Us & Become a Board Member!

The Classic Automobile Restoration and Education Society, inclusive of the current Flagstaff Auto Museum Opening Project, is looking for volunteer board and committee members!

Please encourage those you think would like to help lead our effort to restore, celebrate and preserve our classic automobile heritage and culture for generations to come, even as we move into the future of our town, Route 66, and our entire region.

Our goal is to move toward a capital campaign for the Flagstaff Automobile Museum, to find partners for events and raising donations toward our annual fund, to cover our first few years’ operating and development costs.

Members of the board are expected to commit up to 2-5 hours per month over our first year, with possibility of re-election in multiple terms of 2 years in length. This is a volunteer and service-centered position.

     Collectively, the board helps to:

  • Advise and steer the development of all C.A.R.E.S. projects and agenda items at our quarterly board meetings (currently held on Zoom, on the second Wednesday evening of July, October, January and April.
  • The Board also helps by having the opportunity to join our various development committees, such as the Auto Museum Opening committee, the Auto Museum Site Search Committee, the Auto Museum Capital Campaign committee, the Events committee and subcommittees, the Garage Project spearheading committee and much more in the near future.

Interested candidates should submit a letter of interest (250 word or less) stating why s/he would like to serve on the C.A.R.E.S. board, including any relevant biographical information to FlagstaffAutoMuseumDevelopment@gmail.com

Members and all prospective board members are also encouraged to contribute $40, if possible, to C.A.R.E.S. to support the establishment of our programs and annual fund; we will be glad to accept whatever members can give. We accept cash and checks made out to C.A.R.E.S., or you can donate online via the multiple donation buttons found anywhere on this website.

Thank you so much for your interest in serving and supporting the Classic Automobile Restoration & Education Society along with the future Flagstaff Automobile Museum! We are extremely grateful that you took the time to consider serving on our board and committees, and hope to be in touch more soon!

     Warm Regards,

Laura E. Brown
